Every time I post a photo of this wedding on social media, I keep getting told how beautiful this colour scheme is! Kate & Matts glorious wedding took place at Syrencot back in August but I admit I just can’t take full credit for these wonderful colour choices. When I did my initial consultation with these guys and they told me that they wanted lots of jewel tones in their arrangements, I might have got a little bit excited and carried away! Most people think of weddings and they think pinks, whites romance etc. And yes, it looks totally beautiful but there are so many flower choices out there and so many different colours. So, as a florist it was refreshing to a hear a couple who wanted to go with something bold without any persuasion from me.

They had chosen to book their wedding at the newly built Syrencot and at the time of booking the foundations of the buildings had only been put in place. Like most couples there was a struggle to envisage what the final buildings would look like so a lot of questioning, planning and doubts about their overall scheme happened, but like all weddings it came together perfectly and smoothly. Syrencot is a beautifully designed venue. I’m a huge interiors lover (one day when I grow up, I’d quite like to be an interior designer as well as a florist) and whoever designed the interiors here did a very clever job. With natural materials on show such as wooden cladding, slate floors and exposed old brickwork walls you can have your beautifully rustic country Wiltshire wedding here combining milk churns, rustic crates and garlands. However, with emerald green tiling, faux greenery walls, gold decorative accessories and modern touches you could also pull of a sleek and contemporary wedding. Tie this in with the amazing varieties of food they serve at Syrencot and some fantastic cocktails and come the late evening you could be forgiven for forgetting that you are in the middle of the Wiltshire countryside and not in a five-star city venue.

With tall gold stands for table centerpieces, mirrors a mix of potted succulents on tables I felt Kate & Matt were edging to towards more of a contemporary feel to their wedding scheme which tied in perfectly with the jewel colours in the flowers. For the bridal party bouquets wired succulents and King Protea alongside clashing bold colours and trailing amaranthus were chosen with these and other bright flowers being continued throughout the whole scheme. Meadows were chosen to line the aisle way. These were then moved to the farmshed for the reception décor alongside props and signage from Lulabee weddings

Like most UK Weddings they wanted the outside pergola decorated however a weeks’ worth of wind and rain and a temperamental wedding forecast meant we quickly changed that idea to an indoor frame with flowers on which definitely made more of an impact on entrance and the amazing photographs from Natalie Chiverton photography and her team certainly showcase this.

Teal and hot pink bridal party wear tied in perfectly with the bold colours. Kate even chose the traditional and fun option of tossing the bridal bouquet, which looked hugely competitive.
